Do you have a passion for all things hair? If so, our cosmo/barber program could be the right fit. Our 1200-hour program is designed to give you the skills to be a successful cosmetologist and barber. Once graduated, you’ll be eligible to hold dual licenses as a Cosmetologist and a Barber in the state of California.

Learn More About Our Cosmo/Barber Program

One of the most exciting parts of the beauty industry is the variety of different services you can learn. Our cosmo/barber program is for students wanting to learn the art of cosmetology and the technical skill of barbering.

Students will start by learning up-to-date techniques and theory in a classroom setting. Once students have completed a certain amount of classroom hours, they’ll advance to the clinic floor where they will get the opportunity to build their skills and confidence on clients who come to our student salon. Our instructors assist students while working on clients to prepare them for a real salon setting.

Learning That Works For You

We understand everyone learns differently. That’s why we use an online learning platform by Milady that gives our students the option to pick the best method of study. Students may choose the activities, quizzes, videos, and flashcards they use. In the classroom, students will have live interactive lectures, with visual aids such as power-points, videos, note-taking, group discussions, role play, problem-solving, presentation, and more.

Get Hands-on Experience

One of the best ways to learn is by doing. That is why the majority of your time here will be spent applying what you learn. To help build confidence before stepping onto the salon floor, you’ll be able to practice your skill on mannequins and models. Once you’re ready, you’ll be able to build your skills on the clinic floor with the expertise of our instructors.

Schedule & Program Length

Typically starts on the second Tuesday of every month. Attend any of the Cosmetology schedules and the 200 hours of Barbering training are incorporated into your course.

Cosmetology

In less than 7.5 months you will get the practical hands-on experience in haircutting, hairstyling, coloring, advanced weaving techniques, permanent hair straightening, Brazilian Blowout, and perming. We train students to be working professionals within the beauty industry.

Our esthetician students are trained in specialty salons services: peels, masks, micro-dermabrasion, spa treatments and waxing. Training is also provided to ensure our students have a thorough knowledge of skin analysis, face mapping and prescriptive retailing that is critical for success.
