During our 600-hour course, you’ll study and practice teaching in the areas of cosmetology or esthetics, depending on which professional license you currently hold. Our course prepares you to be able to teach your trade and helps you become a more confident teacher in the classroom.

You already have the beauty skill set, the experience, and licensure. Now it’s time to learn teaching techniques so you can teach the next generation of beauty professionals. Career Preparation

We understand your goal of wanting to become a beauty instructor. While we can’t guarantee employment after graduation, we can help prepare you for any opportunities that come after graduation. Our program is designed for students to be able to be immediately employed in a teaching position. As a part of our curriculum, we take a deeper dive into career and employment information and it is our goal to give you the educational foundation to help you achieve your goals.

Our teacher training program is designed to mirror what it is like to work in an educational setting. In our teacher training program you’ll get the opportunity to work in live demonstrations, workshops, hands-on practice, and more. We believe that your training should go beyond the classroom as practical application is one of the best ways for our students to grow.

Teacher Training Schedule & Program Length

You can choose from a variety of schedules based on our other programs! The length of the program varies based on how many hours are completed per week:

35 hours a week = 4 ½ months
30 hours a week = 5 months
20 hours a week = 7 ½ months

Program Prerequisites

There are a few things to keep in mind when preparing for the teacher training program. Our program requires these prerequisites:

A valid cosmetology or esthetician license
Three years of salon/spa experience.
Barber License
3 years of industry expereince

Cosmetology

In less than 7.5 months you will get the practical hands-on experience in haircutting, hairstyling, coloring, advanced weaving techniques, permanent hair straightening, Brazilian Blowout, and perming. We train students to be working professionals within the beauty industry.

Our esthetician students are trained in specialty salons services: peels, masks, micro-dermabrasion, spa treatments and waxing. Training is also provided to ensure our students have a thorough knowledge of skin analysis, face mapping and prescriptive retailing that is critical for success.
