CAofB FAQS

What can an education with CAofB mean for you?

What does CAofB stand for?

After 50 years of being a premier school in Orange County, a lot of graduates and beauty professionals referred to us as “CA of B” so we owned it and created a new identity. If you look at the Career Academy of Beauty logo you’ll find the “CAofB” icon within the center, like a heart beating for the logo.

The brand identity and positioning were intentional, as we are a private, family run school that cares about our students’ future. You’ll see that we are proud of our heritage and work harder for our students. We have the privilege to start and launch students careers in one of the most exciting industries. Truly we live by our slogan, “beauty starts here®.”

When do classes start?

Most classes start on the second Tuesday of every month. Classes are known to fill quickly so please enroll as soon as possible. Learn more about the different schedules for our cosmetology program and esthetician program.

Do you offer job placement?

Absolutely! Our goal is to make sure that all graduates find the job that best suits them. We provide current listings of available positions within salons, spas, and other beauty employers that are looking to recruit CAofB students.

What is externship?

We have several salons that participate in our externship program. One day a week, our students have real-life floor time in a professional setting. This affords them real-life experience while earning credit towards graduation, as well as what it takes to become a successful professional.

Is your beauty school accredited?

Yes, Career Academy of Beauty has been federally accredited by NACCAS – National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences in cosmetology, esthetics, manicuring, and teacher training courses. CAofB is among the list of premier beauty schools in the nation to be a MUD Makeup Partner School and Sassoon Connection School.

How do I enroll?
  • Take a tour of our facilities and have an interview.
  • Set up an appointment with a financial aid officer to see what you qualify for.
  • Start taking courses. Your new career in beauty starts here.
How do I find out more about course pricing?

Make an appointment to tour our facilities because seeing the school in person will help you make a decision that is best for you. By visiting the school you will see the students and instructors in action. You will also receive a complete catalog, and financial aid information, and see the dollar for dollar why CAofB gives you the most for the tuition in Orange County.

I can’t afford college what help is there for me?

CAofB is very affordable compared to other local beauty schools and our Financial Aid Officer’s can help you. The first step is to make an appointment with our financial aid office; they will be able to tell you exactly what aid you qualify for. Between Federal/State grants, Institutional scholarships and student loans, you will be pleasantly surprised that you can afford college.
